I trained in CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute UK, starting my training in 2014 and passing my techniques certification in August 2018.

Initially I treated adults and children over 12, but I completed a paediatric course in June 2021 and can now treat babies and younger children as well.  I took my first course in Visceral Manipulation of the organs in the abdomen in January 2023.  This works well alongside CST.

My background is in Children’s Nursing and Midwifery. Until recently I have worked with sick and premature newborns, having done so for nearly 12 years in a variety of neonatal units in the past.  I have nursed children (in a special needs school for children with complex medical needs) and adults of all ages and have recently worked as part of a health visiting team so I have a good understanding of feeding problems and issues for new parents. As an enteral feeding nurse I also cared for adults with cancers of the head or neck who were going through chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Having worked in healthcare since 1994, I sometimes find that the medical model tends to treat symptoms rather than getting to the root of a problem or looking at the whole person.  I have a keen interest in holistic therapies, nutrition and the link between the mind and body, and for me, CranioSacral Therapy is one of the few modalities that works effectively with the person as a whole.

I am fortunate enough to have some great local colleagues and can therefore offer multi-hands sessions by prior arrangement if requested.
